One of my favorite jacket’s for winter is the classic trench coat. For one, they never go out of style and can be recycled for years & seasons to come, and two it’s the perfect way to polish off any outfit. I paired this find from H&M with a (pleather) skirt I found at F21 for $22 and a striped leotard I threw under for only $9! You can also pair this with skinny jeans and stilettos for a completely different feel. The trench coat is the perfect way to get a classic look without all the fuss!

HELP! Fashion ista.. I need HELP.

I’ve always had a problem wearing ankle boots with anything but pants. Do you always have to match your tights to the boot color to blend well?

And two: if you have a larger trunk area (you know what I mean). What’s the best outfits to wear? Should you just try and hide it?

Fashionista to the rescue! I would recommend getting a pair of neutral booties (cognac color or nude) in addition to the pair you already have. This way you can mix and match whether it is with legging or jeans. My rule of thumb is always having a main piece like a blouse, pant, or accessory such as a scarf, that picks up the color of the shoes. This way the outfit blends better, rather than just having a random color thrown in.

As for your second question, you should never try to hide your trunk! The one thing you do not want to do if you have a larger trunk area, is wear bright colors or low waistlines to attract attention. Wearing high waist jeans can also make the trunk area look larger so avoid those as well! Rather pick silhouettes that flatter such as a darker mid rise boot cut jean or dresses that accentuate the waist to give you that hourglass shape. You can even do a tunic with leggings, just make sure to pick a pattern and color palette that will also flatter from behind. 🙂

Thank you for your questions and I am here to help anytime!
