somewhere beyond the sea

I have lived in Newport Beach for almost 3 years now and the scenery never gets old. My friends and I are huge nerds who love to go whale watching just off of the coast, and found ourselves on the open sea surrounded by pods of dolphins last weekend. With margaritas in our hands and salt in our hair, we laughed and soaked in the marvelous smell of the sea. I found this one piece off-the-shoulder lace bathing suite at Target for $40. I paired it with a cross body bag and beaded earrings I found while sifting through market shops in Thailand, and threw on a pair of shredded boyfriend jeans for a beachy look. This is a great look for frolicking on a boat OR in the sea – Cheers Mates!

wrap it up

The wrap dress is the perfect staple for every size and body type. All hail Diane Von Furstenberg! It accentuates the smallest part of your waist and is one of the easiest outfits to throw on. I found this floral print wrap dress at F21 for $24.90 and paired it with these Sam Edelman pumps I found on sale at Nordstrom for $71.

Raaaawr!

You gals will be seeing TONS of leopard this coming season and there is a way to wear it without looking like you are from the real housewives of New Jersey (no shade). Leopard is one of the easiest prints to mix with other patters or can be worn with all black for a classic look. I found this top at Zara for $40 and paired it with some older house of Harlow earrings, & my bestie let me borrow her shades!

Friiiinge!

Everyone needs some fringe in their life! Fringe is a great throwback peice that is sassy and fun. It can dress up any outfit and add a little spunk. I found this fringe shawl at F21 for $27 and paired it with these Steve Madden strappy sandles for $89 from Nordstrom.

Steal of the week!

Anthropologie is one of those places where I always love the clothes – just don’t always love the prices. While shopping at my local Marshals I stumbled upon an amazing dress from Cloth & Stone (generally carried by Anthropologie) for $50. This brand usually retails upwards of $128 for dresses, so naturally I thought this was a steal! You can pair this look with your favorite cognac booties, summer sandals or some white converse tennis shoes. Super easy to mix n match!
